Woot! First blog post. I’m finally trying out something I’ve been wanting to do for a while now. So where am I now? What am I doing? What’s up?
I’m on summer break and, for the first time in forever, I am not taking any summer classes. I’m back home in Northern California and have been relaxing at home for about three weeks now. So far, my time here has been nice. I caught up with my family and friends, explored NorCal briefly with my family friends from LA, went to a monastery with my family, and taught some kids how to swim). I’m leaving in a week though and it’s bittersweet. Yes, I definitely love it back here in the Bay Area. But I’ve been missing my boyfriend, friends, and the beaches in Irvine a lot lately.
I have a lot planned for the summer so hopefully summer 2017 treats me well. 🙂 I applied to be a nurse volunteer at the UC Irvine Medical Center. I have an orientation and all set up so hopefully I don’t blow it. Fingers crossed. I’m currently looking for a job, but now that I have the opportunity to volunteer, I guess that’s now less of a priority. Other than that, I’m helping the nursing school with a summer camp and attending a national convention for my nursing fraternity.
